Hotwire® Launches The ‘Million Dollar Sale’ To bring Travelers A (Crazy) Affordable Five-Star Getaway, Perfect for Foodies to Escape Holiday Stress
Are you feeling it? The holiday stress? Do you need to getaway? Do you dream of a Five-Star Luxury getaway? If the answer is yes, then you want to read all the details of this crazy luxury hotel deal and my top picks for Celebrity Dining Bucket List Experiences in Las Vegas that will make the perfect luxury getaway for foodies this holiday season. It’s the Million Dollar Sale! Intrigued?
Holiday Stress is real! Whatever the reason, whether it’s finding the perfect gift, preparing the perfect holiday meal that will please each and every single one of your family members, dealing with a house full of people, the “out-of-nowhere” sudden increase in traffic and madness on the roads, this time of year is stressful. You’re not alone. According to the “Luxury & Holiday Travel Survey” conducted in the United States by CITE Research on behalf of Hotwire® among 1,000 census-based adults 18 and older, only a fortunate few – a mere six percent – of survey takers are stress-free for the holidays.
I think it’s time to getaway! Because going out of town for the holidays is the best way to avoid all the drama. And have I got a deal to share with you!
Las Vegas Luxury Holiday Getaway for Foodies
Is a stay at one of the swanky five-star hotels in Las Vegas on your travel bucket list? Want to experience the fountains show at The Bellagio, take a gondola ride in The Venetian, catch one of the many outstanding shows like Le Reve at Wynn or Cirque du Soleil Ka at MGM Grand? How about celebrity chef luxury dining at The Cosmopolitan, Mandarin Oriental and practically every major resort in Las Vegas? Seriously, can this city have any more celebrity chef restaurants? I don’t think so!
I want to do all those things! But the bank account can’t always afford it. This is where Hotwire’s Million Dollar Sale comes in. You want to take advantage of this!
Hotwire® Las Vegas Hotels Hot Rate® of $50
You can book 5-Star Luxury Hotels in Las Vegas, like those I just mentioned, for only $50 per night. That’s unheard of! It leaves cash for you to spend on those luxury dining and entertainment experiences.
“Hotwire is kicking off something kind of crazy – a Million Dollar Sale: five-star hotels in Las Vegas for just $50,” explains Hotwire President Neha Parikh. “I know it might sound too good to be true, so you may ask yourself, ‘what’s the catch?’ But it’s real.”
I often use Hotwire to find the best deals on airfare, hotels and car rental when I travel, so when I learned of this special sale I had to share it with you. Hotwire.com is a leading discount travel site inspiring spontaneous travel through Hot Rate® deals. Launched in 2000, they obtain deep discounts from its travel suppliers to help travelers book unsold airline seats, hotel rooms and rental cars. Their CEO describes the company as offering “crazy good value for people who love to travel” and I that’s what I like.
Parikh’s Million Dollar Sale allows Hotwire to temporarily drop their already-low Hot Rates® even lower by investing $1 million to further offset room costs; the $50 five-star hotel rate for Las Vegas will remain in place until the company has hit the million-dollar spend. These ridiculously low rates are good for travel between Dec. 8-28, 2017, and with the average retail rate for five-star hotels in Las Vegas next month around $432, that’s a saving of more than $350 per night per room! With demand high during the holidays — taking a quick getaway was the most-often-cited choice for relieving holiday stress according to the “Luxury & Holiday Travel Survey” — Hotwire expects the Million Dollar Sale to sell through in just a few days.
With the money you save on hotel rooms, here’s a few of the places on my culinary experience bucket list in Las Vegas. I hope my “Someday List” inspires you to go #MakeSomedayHappen

5 Luxury Dining Experiences on my Las Vegas Bucket List
1. é by José Andrés in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Dining at one of legendary chef Jose Andres’ restaurants has been on the bucket list for years. I’m excited he will soon open in Disney Springs in Orlando, but the Las Vegas experience at the top of my list is “é by José Andrés.” It is one of the most exclusive restaurants in a town that is overflowing with fine dining celebrity chef experiences. The intimate room with seating for 8 lucky foodies is hidden in the back of Jaleo in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. I love tasting menus and here, the 20 small courses (yes 20!) are prepared right in front of you! The meal starts at $195 with beverage pairings starting at $130.
2. Bazaar Meat by José Andrés in SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
We are the carnivorous type in my house and therefore a restaurant with “meat” in the name known to be a “carnivorous sensation” is on my list. Add to that, it is also the creation of chef Jose Andres so it’s on the list. Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres is not your typical steakhouse – sure they have fantastic grilled fare, but they also have a raw bar. I know you’re thinking oysters and such but this a MEAT raw bar of carpaccios and tartares! They also have a fire pit! Signature dishes I want to try include “cotton candy foie gras”, Beefsteak tomato tartare, and a waffle with foie gras foam for dessert.
3. Restaurant Guy Savoy in Caesars Las Vegas
For a nine-course over the top classic French dining experience, Restaurant Guy Savoy is the only choice. In addition to a modern dining room, there’s a Bubbles Lounge, Caviar Room and best of all, the glass-enclosed Kitchen Table, where you get to watch culinary magic. I dream of indulging in succulent oysters from British Columbia, grilled Hamachi, truffled artichoke soup and white asparagus with caviar.
4. Le Cirque in Bellagio
New York has the original but Le Cirque in Las Vegas is every bit of legendary. This is not your ordinary circus. Here the show, is the exceptional view of the Bellagio fountains – which in and of itself is an experience everyone should have and then cross off their bucket list. It will be tough to choose only a few dishes to try from the classic French menu by chef Wilfried Bergerhausen – Langoustines with caviar; honey-glazed Barbary duck magret; poached Maine lobster; and loup de mer with crispy potatoes.
5. Joël Robuchon in MGM Grand
Described as “the most elegant restaurant in town with a level of luxury you won’t find anywhere else in Vegas.” I would love to dine at any of chef Robuchon’s restaurants around the world but in Vegas, Joël Robuchon in MGM Grand tops the list. Truffle langoustine ravioli followed by the bread cart and the chocolate trolley would send me to heaven.
