1.GO Eat & Drink Around the World!
The 19th annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is the ultimate food and wine festival in Florida, with 53 days of food, wine and fun. Now through Monday November 10, it features cooking and beverage seminars, celebrity chefs, special events, Eat to the Beat Concerts with top bands, and of course the most popular food and wine pairings to explore at over 25 marketplace booths. The new Patagonia marketplace combining the flavors of Argentina and Chile and returning favorite, Brazil, are on my must-eat list. Get your friends together and GO Eat and Drink Around the World!
2.GO Beer Tasting in Orlando!
- ^ Jake’s Beer Festival: Enjoy over 50 craft beers, culinary creations by the Loews Royal Pacific award-winning chefs and live music by the I-4 Band on Friday October 3rd from 6pm-9pm. $45 per person, $10 additional for VIP tickets with access to the Clipper Room and a collectible pint glass to take home. ^ Windermere Craft Beer Fest: The Town of Windermere hosts the inaugural event Celebrating craft beer brews from all around Central Florida on Saturday October 11th, from 4pm-8pm. The event kicks off with a “Beer Run” 5K at 4pm in the Town Square. Sample over 40 beers, food from local restaurants and live music. Tickets $30. For more info and tickets. GO Beer Tasting!
3. GO Greek in St. Augustine!
In its 17th year, Holy Trinity Church presents the St. Augustine Greek Festival celebrating the Greek culture through dancing, music, and of course, food, on Friday October 10th – Sunday October 12th. Sample a large selection of authentic Greek foods and pastries, dance to the Hellenic Band, and shop from over 100 local vendors. $3 per person. 4.GO German in Tampa!
It’s not October without an Oktoberfest celebration! Take a drive to Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park, Friday October 10-Sunday October 12, for German cheer, dancing, eating and singing at the area’s largest waterfront beer garden! 5. GO Eat Local in Orlando!
- ^ Winter Park Wine & Dine: The city of Winter Park comes together for food and wine on Wednesday October 15th . Enjoy food samples, hors d’oeuvres, craft beer and wine from over 30 area merchants including Carmel Café, 4Rivers Smokehouse, The COOP Southern Restaurant, Sushi Pop, Mellow Mushroom, K Wine Bar, Funky Monkey, P is for Pie, Lombardi’s Seafood, Shake Shack. ^ A Taste of Thornton Park: This quaint neighborhood in Downtown Orlando hosts their 13th annual Taste of Thornton Park featuring the area’s merchants offering unlimited food samples, wine and beer from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM. 6. GO Latin in Orlando!
On Friday October 17th, 6:30pm-10pm, Savor the Night Event kicks off the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando Latin Food & Wine Festival with delectable dishes, spirits, and wines to take you on a tasty trip around Latin America and Spain. Click here for tickets. The festivities continue on Saturday October 18th, from 3pm-9pm as Cranes Roost Park turns into a full day culinary extravaganza with Latin flair. 7.GO Seafood in Naples!
The Naples Stone Crab Festival marks the start of the stone crab season, the delicious delicacy we all love to enjoy from October to May. Friday October 24th, Kick Off Party at Pincher’s Crab Shack will have Mayor Sorey cracking the first stone crab. On Saturday October 25th and Sunday October 26th, enjoy a block party, live music, stone crab specials, drink specials, fun kids activities, sightseeing tours of the beautiful city of Naples and lots more. 8. GO Get A Taste of Disney’s Swan & Dolphin!
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is one of my favorite Fall foodie events. In its fifth year, the two-night feast, Friday October 31st and Saturday November 1st, features more than 40 food and wine stations along the hotel’s causeway. Taste the best of the award-winning culinary team and famed restaurants of the Swan & Dolphin Hotels – Il Mulino, Shula’s Steak House and Todd English’s bluezoo – sample wines from around the world, enjoy the live entertainment, the new beer garden, meet celebrity chef Todd English and two-time world champion Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard. The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival, one of the nation’s premier culinary festivals, welcomes an eclectic mix of the world’s most illustrious, award-winning chefs, culinary personalities, authors, winemakers and mixologists on December 11th – 13th. Enjoy specialty cocktail and hors d’oeuvre receptions, five-course dinners with premium wine pairings, kid’s cooking classes and the final grand tasting and cooking competition.
